The Andrea Da Ponte Vecchia Grappa di Prosecco 8 Annate is a traditional Italian grappa produced using the distinctive Metodo Da Ponte. Carefully selected pomace from Glera grapes, sourced from the production of Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G., is used in its distillation. This aged grappa thus combines two important Venetian traditions: viticulture centred on the Glera grape and the artisanal production of high-quality pomace spirits. The Vecchia Grappa di Prosecco is one of the most traditional spirits from the Andrea Da Ponte house and is characterised by its consistent focus on selected raw materials, the house’s own distillation process and a long ageing period.


The designation ‘8 Annate’ refers to the long ageing process, which lends the grappa additional depth and a more harmonious character. To achieve this, the Vecchia Grappa di Prosecco is aged in oak casks from the Limousin region of France, the influence of which is also responsible for its characteristic golden-yellow colour. The interplay of Glera pomace, the Metodo Da Ponte and Limousin oak forms the key distinguishing feature of this bottling. With a robust 42 per cent alcohol content, the grappa is presented in a 0.7-litre bottle complete with a gift box.
