The Oban Little Bay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Small Cask is a characterful Highland single malt Scotch whisky, 43% ABV, in a 0.7-litre bottle, complete with a gift box. It takes its name from the distillery’s home town: Oban roughly translates as ‘little bay’ and refers to the coastal town of the same name in the west of Scotland. The history of the Oban Distillery dates back to the late 18th century. Although the business initially began as a brewery, whisky was being distilled as early as 1794. A distinctive feature is its location right in the heart of the town, which has grown up around the distillery over time, severely limiting the distillery’s physical expansion.


Cask treatment plays a central role in the production of Oban Little Bay. Selected matured whiskies are blended together and then transferred to small oak casks for marriage. The increased contact between the whisky and the wood is intended to allow the character of the individual components to blend together particularly harmoniously. Little Bay combines the coastal character typical of Oban with fruity, spicy and subtly smoky Elements.
